Kia to unveil greener cee'd

17 August 2009

Kia's eco-conscious cee'd model range is to get a boost in October when another vehicle will join the line-up.

The firm has revised its popular model, which will be on display to interested eco car insurance policyholders at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year.

It has undergone a restyling and reengineering process to feature an evolved version of the company's signature grille while also offering reduced CO2 output.

Technical innovations have been applied to the latest model to enable the car to cut carbon emissions to 110 grams per kilometre. Among the new features will be the Intelligent Stop and Go system.

Kia has also modified the vehicle to make it longer, while altering the interior to add new features and shift current elements.

The firm's marketing director Simon Hetherington commented that the new car offers a more distinctive look.

"Following our established model range line-up, customers will enjoy a thoroughly revised interior including a new-style steering wheel and gear lever, all-red instrument illumination, a new centre console and new audio systems, plus dual-zone climate control air-conditioning," he added.

The new-look model will be unveiled at the motor show on September 15th before going on sale in October, with prices expected to be announced before the sale date.

Kia also recently announced that its seven-seat Sorento offering will be unveiled with revised looks during its debut at the event in Frankurt next month.

Incorporating the firm's new signature look, the car has also been made lower and longer.
