A vehicle dealership in Yorkshire has showcased its latest green technology to businesses and fleet managers.
The Polar Ford showroom held a special motoring event at the Yorkshire Air Museum recently to provide businesses with an opportunity to explore ways of becoming greener, DriffieldToday.co.uk reports.
A number of vehicles were on display, including diesel hybrids and hydrogen-powered vans that may have appealed to eco car and van insurance policyholders attending on the day.
A total of 19 exhibitors came together for the event, including key employers from the region such as the city of York council, Nestle and Network Rail.
Nigel Little, commercial sales manager for Polar Ford, commented: "This event was the first of its kind for us. It gave us the chance to showcase some of our cars and vans, plus show people some of the very latest hybrid technology."
Visitors to the event were able to take a test drive in some of Ford's newest models, including the hydrogen and diesel hybrid Transits and ECOnectic models.
The event including the drawing of a raffle for one visitor to experience a hot air balloon ride.
Winner Damien Wrigglesworth told the publication that he enjoyed the event, especially seeing the hybrid vehicles on show.
"It's definitely something businesses will have to look to in the future," he added.
Ford recently confirmed prices for its new Transit ECOnetic van. The green option, which achieves 39.2 miles per gallon, is available for £18,095 - £290 above the regular base model price.
