survey results
ibuyeco conducted a survey of 1,000 motorists and this is what we found out!
- On the whole, caravanners are greener in their day-to-day lives e.g. use energy saving light bulbs, their own shopping bags, offset flights (more than twice as many offset than non-caravanners).
- Whilst nearly 1 in 10 of us get frustrated by caravanners on the road, nearly ¾ of us admitted that we thought caravanners were more environmentally friendly than those who take flights to go on holiday.
- Caravanners are more than twice as likely to offset their CO2 from international flights they take.
- Caravanners carry out basic maintenance on their vehicles (such as checking tyre pressures or oil and water levels etc.) far more regularly than their non-caravanning counterparts. Not keeping on top of basic maintenance such as this can lead to increased CO2 emissions.
- Caravanners were significantly more likely than non-caravanners to give their impact on the environment daily thought (7% difference).
